The mysteries of the Paranormal, and other such things have surrounded and involved Janette throughout her lifetime. She even has a ghost who lives with her and plays tricks on her, whom she playfully calls “The Punk.” And so it seems only natural, when inspiration struck, for Janette to sit at her keyboard and begin writing about those things. She plans to share her paranormal experiences here with you. So hold on!
Janette Harjo has lived her entire lifetime in the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the United States of America. Her writing began as an answer to her prayer when she asked for happiness after depression, caused by a Traumatic Brain Injury, set in. Since then she found her way to and has belonged to the Romance Writers of America (RWA).
Her first chapter membership began the learning of her craft in 1989, in her home state of Oregon with the Heart of Oregon chapter RWA. She served as Hospitality Chair while there.
From there she moved on to University Place, Washington where she served the Tacoma, Washington chapter RWA as Publicity Chair and Research and Resources Officer.
Since then her involvement has gone on to membership in the Olympia, Washington chapter RWA where she has served as the Publicity and Promotions chair and Vice President and continues now as an active member.
She received her first publishing contract in 2013, where her three book Romantic Paranormal series, CONNECTIONS, which involves Time Travel and Supernatural Wizardry, then went on to become an Amazon Best Seller on her debut.
She has raised three children who have gone on to become successful adults. Her two sons are retired and son to be retired from the US Military, and her daughter will soon be able to hang out her own shingle as a Building Architect.
Her children have blessed her with five grandchildren (and hopefully counting!) who she loves dearly and spoils whenever she can.
The author is now hard at work on a fantastic romantic tale about a mermaid who must save her merfolk from the contemporary damage humanity plagues them with, and romantic time travel based on Captain Jack and the Modoc War of 1872-73, which took place in her homeland of southern Oregon and northern California.
